WEC 47 is in the books and all of the information has finally trickled out.  Fighter bonuses, medical suspensions and tv viewership information has all been released.

A total of six fighters received medical suspensions from the Ohio State Athletic commission following their bouts.  Headliners Brian Bowles and Miguel Torres both have indefinite suspensions and must get clearance from a doctor before returning to action.  Danny Castillo, Courtney Buck, Bendy Casimir and Chad Mendes all received 60-day suspensions.

Like the previous WEC event, winners of "Fight of the Night", "Submission of the Night", and "Knockout of the Night" all received an extra $10,000.  Leonard Garcia and George Roop fought on the undercard in what earned the "Fight of the Night".  The fifteen-minute fight was non-stop action and due to a point deduction ended up in a split draw.  Pettis landed a big high left kick that rocked Castillo and signaled the end of the fight.  Benavidez was able to secure a guillotine choke that forced Torres to tap late in the second round.

In rather disappointing news, the television audience was a mere 373,000.  This is the second-smallest rating in the past two years.  The least watched event was WEC 45, which only drew 330,000 viewers.  This isn't good news for a promotion who's next event will be on pay per view.
