Three-time world champion Greco-Roman wrestler Joe Warren (2-1) has signed with Bellator Fighting Championships today. The highly regarded prospect will compete in Bellator’s upcoming featherweight tournament which takes place in April.
The Team Quest fighter is known within the mixed martial arts world as having one of the most impressive starts to a career by mauling former WEC champion Chase Beebe in his professional debut. He went on to defeat Japanese star Kid Yamamoto in his next contest. In October, Warren lost his matchup against the highly regarded Bibiano Fernandes.
Warren has been competing at a world class level for many years. He has trained with the U.S. Olympic Team and has taken home gold medals at the 2006 Pan-Am Games, the 2006 FILA Wrestling World Championships, and the 2007 Wrestling World Cup. Warren was also an All-American freestyle wrestler at the University of Michigan.
Training with former WEC champion Urijah Faber and former PRIDE champion Dan Henderson will undoubtedly help the Team Quest prodigy in developing his stand up game.
“My hands are getting quicker…I’m getting better every single day,” he claims. “With my style and my experience and my never-lose, never-die attitude, it’s going to be really exciting for Bellator and for everyone who will be watching on TV.”

He will gain much exposure in the tournament structure that bellator puts forth. At the end i feel he will be a highly sought after fighter if not a bellator champion.
